The new Xiaomi Mi 8 features a 6.21" Super AMOLED FHD+ display with an 18.7:9 ratio, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, a body that unifies metal and glass, a dual 12MP camera for each sensor and a 20MP front camera.
The Mi 8 has once again opted for a "borderless screen design", although this time Xiaomi has joined the fashion of the notch in the centre of the upper part, where the sensors and the front camera are located. In addition, it is equipped with a 6.21-inch Samsung AMOLED panel with Full HD+ 2248 x 1080p resolution and an aspect ratio that stretches to 18.7:9.
It is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass glass to make it more resistant to impact and scratches, and features the most succulent specifications, such as 600 nits of brightness, a 60000:1 contrast ratio and support for the DCI-P3 color spectrum and Always-on Display mode.
In the photographic section it incorporates a double rear camera. Specifically, we find a conventional 12 megapixel SONY IMX363 sensor with f/1.7 focal aperture and a 12 megapixel Samsung S5K3M3 tele sensor with f/2.4 focal aperture, capable of performing optical zoom at two magnifications.
These are accompanied by a dual LED flash, phase detection focus and a four-axis image stabilizer. Here again we refer to its artificial intelligence system, as its photographic section also takes advantage of this and the high computational power of the Snapdragon 845 chip, detecting scenes to obtain optimal captures in any situation.
Nor will we miss effects such as the portrait mode, which combines the capabilities of both sensors with artificial intelligence systems, or its beloved Beauty Mode. In addition, its front camera features an incredible 20 megapixel sensor.
