After becoming the great revelation of the year 2016 in Europe, the series YO-KAI WATCH returns to the Nintendo 3DS family with a new adventure in the form of two titles: YO-KAI WATCH® 2.
Nate and his loyal teammates, Jibanyan and Whisper, will continue to conquer the hearts of the little ones, with this sequel to YO-KAI WATCH which, for the first time, introduces the possibility of competing online with other players, throwing their Yo-kai at combat. On this occasion, players will travel back in time and explore environments full of details where they will meet and befriend a bunch of quirky and often mischievous Yo-kai. In addition, they will discover the origin of the first Yo-kai Watch, the magic clock that allows the protagonist of the game to see the Yo-kai.
But let's get to the starting point of the story. One night, while our protagonist, Nate, sleeps deeply, two sinister Yo-kai sneak through the window of his room and erase all his memories, also taking his Yo-kai Watch. The next day, Nate stumbles upon the mysterious Memorium store, where he meets up with his Yo-kai Watch.
During their travels, players will meet a special Yo-kai named Hovernyan, who will teach them to travel through time. In their mission to discover the mysteries behind the evil Yo-kai, players can visit Floridablanca as it was 60 years ago, travel through different locations and alternate between past and present in an instant. As they travel through time to unravel the mysteries, they can overcome more than 80 parallel missions that will involve helping local residents with their everyday problems. By helping the city's neighbors, players can discover new Yo-kai and receive useful rewards that will help them in their adventures.
For the first time, players will be able to exchange Yo-kai medals online and create a team with their favorite Yo-kai to challenge friends in the distance thanks to the full multiplayer mode. Win or lose, you will get combat points and you can use them to acquire items in a combat points club that will help them empower and release imprisoned Yo-kai. This unique combat system fosters a friendly and fair multiplayer experience for players of all ages and abilities in the game.
Each version of YO-KAI WATCH® 2 includes five exclusive and original Yo-kai that can be exchanged locally and online, and each version determines if the player will join the army of the Fantasquets or the Carnanimas.
