The AirPremier N, DAP-2553, D-Link dual-band PoE access point is a solution for companies that want to create local area (LAN) 802.11n networks of the latest generation. This access point, designed for indoor installation, allows network administrators to develop a secure, robust and highly manageable wireless network.

Versatile Hardware with PoE

The DAP-2553 offers reliable Wireless N performance without dead points and with speeds of up to 300 Mbps in both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz.1 wireless band

To be able to make facilities in areas where power bases are not available, the access point integrates Power over Ethernet (PoE) 802.3af, which ensures flexibility and easy configuration.

Better performance

Thanks to the Wi-Fi Multimedia ™ (WMM) service quality feature, the DAP-2553 is an ideal solution for audio, video and voice applications. In addition, this access point supports load balance to optimize large traffic volumes.

Advanced wireless security

The DAP-2553 provides industrial quality wireless security because it supports WPA and WPA2 (802.11i) both in its personal and industrial version, with RADIUS server backend support. This access point also includes filtering of MAC addresses, wireless LAN segmentation, SSID disabling, detection of malicious access points and wireless programming for greater wireless network protection.

The AirPremier N dual-band PoE access point includes support for up to 4 VLAN to implement several SSID and thus further help network segment users. Thanks to the various SSID, you can reduce the number of physical access points and thus minimize costs.

The DAP-2553 also has a wireless customer isolation mechanism to avoid direct communication between client and client, and a wireless planner that allows the wireless LAN to be turned off at certain times of the day.

Several modes of operation

The DAP-2553 can be configured to work in any of the following ways: access point, wireless distribution system (WDS) with access point, WDS / bridge (without access point dissemination) and wireless client. With WDS support, network managers can configure several DAP-2553 through one utility and set them in bridge with another while providing network access to individual customers.

Advanced network management

Network administrators can manage all DAP-2553 through their web-based configuration (HTTP), SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), SSH (Secure Shell) utility
or Telnet. The D-Link access point manager or the D-View SNMPv3 management module can also be used to configure and manage several access points from a single location. In addition to the efficient management process, network managers can also carry out regular maintenance checks without spending resources on staff movements to physically perform checks that the device works properly.
