DAP-2310 AiPremier access point N is an ideal 802.11n access point for any network manager to create or expand the capacity of a wireless network.

This access point is used mainly in high-traffic areas such as airports, cafés, shopping centres, sports centres, and university campus deployments.

With transfer rates of up to 300 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz frequency range, users are able to connect with the 802.11b / g adaptor legacy, in addition to the latest 802.11n adapters to enjoy faster downloads and instant communication.

Versatile access point
The DAP-2310 allows network administrators to deploy a highly manageable and extremely robust 802.11n wireless network. The antennas are removable and include providing optimal wireless coverage at 2.4 GHz (802.11gy 802.11n) using a high-power radio band design to reduce dead points and increase capacity. For advanced facilities, this high-speed access point has integrated 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) 3, making it easy to install in areas where power plugs are not easily available.

Improved performance
The DAP-2310 offers reliable wireless performance with maximum wireless signal rates of up to 300 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz wireless band. This, along with service quality Multimedia Wi-Fi (WMM ™) support, makes it an ideal access point for audio, video and voice applications. In addition, the DAP-2310 supports the load balancing characteristics to ensure maximum performance by limiting the maximum number of users per access point.

Security
To help maintain a secure wireless network, the DAP-2310 offers the latest in wireless security technologies by supporting the Personal and Enterprise versions of WPA and WPA2 (802.11i), with the support of a RADIUS server engine. To further protect your wireless network, filtering MAC addresses, wireless LAN segmentation, SSID disabled
Dissemination, AP detection, and wireless broadcast programming are also included. The DAP-2310 includes support for up to eight VLAN networks to implement several SSID to help segment users on the network. It also includes a wireless customer isolation mechanism, which directly limits customer-customers.

Several modes of operation
To maximize total investment profitability, the DAP-2310 can be configured to optimize network performance based on any of its multiple operating modes: Access Point, Wireless Client, Wireless Distribution System (WDS) and WDS with access point. With the WDS support, network administrators can set up several DAP-2310 access points throughout an installation and configure them to bridge each other while providing network access to individual customers. It also includes advanced features such as load balancing, which optimizes the high volume of network traffic, and failure-proof redundancy for wireless connectivity. In addition, the DAP-2310 Spanning Tree Protocol offers support for greater efficiency and for protecting against broadcast storms when used in WDS mode.

Network Management
Network administrators have multiple options for DAP-2310 management, including a Web interface (HTTP), Secure Sockets Layer (SSL, which establishes a secure Internet connection), Secure Shell (SSH, which establishes a secure channel in local betwed and remote equipment) and Telnet. For advanced network management, administrators can use the D-Link AP Manager II or D-View SNMPv3 management module to configure and manage several access points from a single location. In addition to an agile management process, the AP Manager II and D-View software provide network managers with the means to remotely verify and perform regular maintenance controls, eliminating the need to send staff to physically verify the correct operation.
